FESCO has extensive experience in the transportation of dangerous and chemical substances. We provide safe delivery of these types of cargo and work in accordance with the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR).

About the service

ADR divides dangerous substances into 13 classes. Their transportation requires special conditions at all stages of delivery. Classes 1-6 and batteries from class 9 are accepted for transportation by all sea lines, as well as by rail and road.

class 1: explosive substances and products
class 2: gases
class 3: flammable liquids
class 4.1: flammable solids
class 4.2: substances capable of spontaneous combustion;
class 4.3: substances that emit flammable gases if in contact with water
class 5.1: oxidizing substances
class 5.2: organic peroxides
class 6.1: toxic substances
class 6.2: infectious substances
class 7: radioactive materials
class 8: corrosive substances
class 9: other hazardous substances and products

Data required for ordering a dangerous cargo delivery:

Safety data sheet (MSDS), that a consignor is obliged to submit to a carrier, with the information on cargo class, shipping name of the substance, and its UN number
Transport category
Package group and requirements to it
Loading, transportation, and unloading requirements
Vehicle and markings for transportation of the hazardous substance
Compatibility with other substances
Exact quantity of the cargo to be transported for the substance itself and its package

Alcohols
Medicines, chemicals, perfumes containing alcohol
Rubber, latex

Such substances are transported by special vehicles that can withstand contact with the chemical composition of the cargo and are furnished with additional equipment:

Special tanks for transportation of liquid bulk cargo
Tank containers and tanks for delivery by sea
Special containers, railcars, and platforms for delivery by rail
Special cargo planes for air transportation
