- Four steam generators weighing 365 tons each (net weight without packaging - 355 tons) intended for power unit No.1 were received at marine terminal Vostochny.
- Dispatch of equipment started on August 22, 2020 in Volgodonsk at the Atommash plant (a branch of JSC AEM-Technologies, part of the engineering division of Rosatom - Atomenergomash). Steam generators manufactured for the first nuclear power plant in Turkey were transported in closed holds.
- To unload steam generators from the vessel a large Liebherr LR 1800 crawler crane was assembled at the NPP site. Steam generators supplied for construction of the Akkuyu NPP were unloaded from the vessel to the heavyweight storage area, where the equipment and all its components will have to pass entrance control.
- Steam generators are the main equipment of primary circuit of the reactor. The Akkuyu NPP project includes four power units with VVER-1200 generation 3+ reactors, each unit will be equipped with four steam generators.
- A steam generator is a first-class safety equipment. It is a horizontal cylindrical vessel with two elliptical bottoms. In the middle part there are collectors for supply and removal of coolant: at the Akkuyu NPP the coolant is chemically desalinated water. In the upper part of it there is a space where steam is formed, and in the lower part there is a heat exchange surface, which consists of 11 000 stainless pipes. If you add up the length of all the tubes of one steam generator, their total length will be 148.5 km. The diameter of pipes is 16 mm, the length is from 11 to 17 meters. The ends of pipes are fixed in two collectors. The length of the device is about 15 meters, the diameter is more than 4 m.
- Steam generators are installed after the erection of columns, installation of embedded items and supports, these works precede the start of welding of the main circulation pipeline.

- FESCO Transportation Group provided transportation and installation of power equipment for the Yerevan CHP plant. Cargo with a total weight of 14.5 thousand freight tons was delivered from Georgia to Armenia by rail and road transport.
- Large-sized heavy equipment: a gas turbine weighing 205 tons, a transformer (182 tons) and a gas turbine generator (169 tons) were dispatched from port Poti (Georgia) and sent to Yerevan by rail on a six-axle conveyor.
- The rest of the cargo — a steam turbine generator (148 tons), a condenser (85 tons) as well as general cargo was delivered to construction site by motor transport. Special transportation permits were obtained for this purpose.
- The uniqueness of the operation was that it was carried out in conditions of military operations and restrictions due to the pandemic. In addition, FESCO specialists provided installation of five units of delivered power equipment with Lift System 44A portal systems with a lifting capacity of up to 400 tons and Hydrospex Cylap HSL2000 with a lifting capacity of up to 800 tons.
- FESCO has extensive experience in transporting heavy and oversized cargo, including equipment for the construction of nuclear power plants in different countries. In 2020, the Group organized delivery for the Ruppur NPP in Bangladesh and the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey.
- Increasing the portfolio of contracts with major customers as well as expanding presence in the market of large-tonnage and oversized cargo transportations are priority directions of business development of FESCO.

- The FESCO Projects team delivered the next batch of equipment to Ruppur NPP, Bangladesh. Sets of basic equipment arrived on motor vessel Daisy from Novorossiysk to port Mongla: a reactor pressure vessel, a steam generator, a polar crane. Large-sized heavy equipment was reloaded to barges, which will then proceed to berth of Ruppur NPP. There the equipment will be reloaded onto motor transport by a 600-ton crane for further delivery to the place of storage.
